Smile 4 days in alderney !!!

well , we got to alderney about 12pm and headed off to alderney angling to find out where we were staying for the trip, turns out were only staying above the tackle shop (how handy was that !!!! so off to the butchers for mince and down to the bakers for bread as shaun wanted to go for the mullet and black bream, and that he did

on friday evening steve joined us without tommy as he had to pull out last minute (hope all is well tommy ) so we headed of to a local restaurant to discuss tactics for out boat trip aboard ALDERNEY FELIX.

saturday morning we headed off to the quay to find our boat for the day..

fishing for the day was to target the bass and flatties (brill/turbot) and bait was strips of mackie, no flatties were landed but we all managed to land bass up to 7lb

we were hoping to try for the tope but was to rough to anchor but not to worry we were enjoying the bassing

sunday we were back on the boat again looking for the flatties and shaun (old git :) managed to land one of about 4lb (well done mate )

shauns turbot (stuart the skipper)

we tried one mark which was really hard to fish as the tidal run was awesome and we all hooked into big fish (10 lb + easy ) but mine snapped the line and the others lost theres too but hey, thats fishing .. A big thanks to fiona at ALDERNEY ANGLING for looking after us and doing a top breckie every morning and for lending us her car for the weekend, and of coarse to stuart the skipper of ALDERNEY FELIX and howey for a great couple of days .
