Re: tommorrow night blue anchor

hi guys me and my mate fished blue anchor last night we got there at 1850 to find the wall packed with anglers and my favourite spot taken (grrrrrr) so fished further up towards the hotel opposite the smugglers , had one rod fishing a two hook clip down and one rod in close around the groyne with a mackerel flappper for conger , my mate was fishing 3 hook clip down with mackerel and worm ,. my mate started instantly with a pout and whiting first cast while both my rods remained motionless my mate reset and instantly got another fish a sizeable doggy, he reset and low and behold another doggy and whiting while my rod was motionless, . then had an absolute smack of a bite on the clip down rig very cod like with that thud thud fight but lost what was on about 50 metres out , i reset and instantly hooked a pair of dogs , just unhooked them when the close in rod nearly dissapeared over the side i struck into it and had a nice conger about 9lb that i landed on the steps, . all in all we had 8 dogs 5 whting 2 pout 1 conger , think 1 lost conger aswell, but unfortunately no codling spoke to someone further up the wall that apparently thursday night 3 codling were caught all sizeable, so it was a good night all in all , i might head back up tonight see what happens cheers

Nice fishing mate. I bet the Conger of 9lb was a surprise!
