Great night 19/9/07

Nipped out last night for a few hours down the dockyard, probably the best place to fish in the pompey area but not a place i m fond of

Anyway arived on the jetty about 2030 and was faced with a strong wind in my face which must have been gusting force 7.
I cast out 2 rods one with large squid bait on the other with worm targetting Sole.
Well after about 15 minutes which saw my stand and rods blown over twice i got a decent bight on the worm rod,i struck into it and was fast solid, after much pulling and swearing i snapped off.
I tied a new leader on ,which i love doing in the dark when its blowing a gale and cast out another Sole rig.
Within minutes a police launch apeared and proceaded to skillfully go through both my line cutting them only 30 yards from my tips

Right thats it ,quickly losing the will to fish i tied two scratching rigs on with no leaders and plopped them over the side, the rain started to come down a bit just to cheer me up so i thought " sod it i m off to bed"
So i wound both rods in ,one had two pouting on whilst the other had a nice bream on,i was slightly tempted to stay but cut my losses whilst i was very slightly ahead
On the bright side the next time i go it cant surely be as bad and i ll apreciate it more
