cornwall report 9/09/07

at 7am the alarm went off on sunday...............ooooccchhhhh that hert after a good skin full with some freinds down there watching england manage to win
them apples are nasty things
so i grovled to the missus to take me as she dont drink like a t**t nite b4, soon got at the boat for 8 oclock start and after a another can of the mighty strong bow i was back to form and started with a few mackerel and pollock, soon as we had enough bait to get started we set the anchor up and sat there , and sat there, nothink apart from a few cuckoo wrasse and small pollock so skipper soon upped anchor and we moved to another lump of rock, but again nothink to write home about. slack water came and went and i thought things were looking up as i felt a congerish bite, but no a poxy dog fish. so again the skipper upped the anchor and we tryed another rock, this time no sooner did i hit the bottom bang ..... and i got this nice ling, just a touch under 10lb, so a bit of a result considering how hard things were

then i went dead again, as i listened to the radio all the boats strugled as well so i wernt just us who were the jonahs and skipper tryed very hard , even got a rod out him self
but on the plus side i still had a nice day out and its alway great to be out on the water, and the rest of the long weekend was a scream.
