Penlee

Just a quick one guys, went down to visit family (and have the odd beer on sat night!, found that 9 was a good odd number!) And decided to throw some gear in for sunday.

Went down to Penlee point, and set up on one of the high rock fingers, fished one out into God knows what, kept losing gear to it tho, so dropped a spinning rod baited with bits of peeler into a gully running next to me

Quickly started to get bites and pulled out a succesion of beautiful wrasse, nothing big, pound or so was the largest, but all individual:

tried frozen tiger prawn on the bottom rod but kept getting stuck, did lose one fish tho, probably a wrasse, prawn baits up well tho

Then did a bit of spinning, had a couple of garfish, both to an abu krill, one of my favourite lures, that quietened off, so nipped back to one of my estuary marks to try for bass, sadly tho the water was a tad dirty, and all i managed was two eels, still, i have a great respect for these animals, and hell, it was a bite in difficult conditions, Max likes them as well!

One last thing, all the wrasse were perfectly hooked using circles, tied on with a knotless knot, great for catch and release, for all species!
