| Sat 11/8/07 8th club match We were fishing s/hamton town quay for our 8th club match, 8pm - 2am Results are Fish caught during Competition Justin- Plaice 8oz eel 8oz Sole under size total 16oz Steve -Flounder 6oz total 6oz Allan - Pout undersize Sole 6oz total 6oz Richard - Bass 11oz and 4 bass undersize total 11oz James - Sole 6oz total 6oz Claudia - Sole undersize and Smoothhound undersize wasn't too good on the fish front as you can tell but at least it saved a few blanks. I fished one rod dropped right down on a pulley rig, 4/0 hook with mackerel filets, trying for some decent size bass. Sadly I only had one big knock on it but that was the only excitment there. Second rod on one up one down rig "2 hook with rag for sole or any other small fish, third rod on a pulley rig 4/0 hook with a whole peeler crap, hoping for a smutt. The whole quay was occupied with angler and the fishing was slow....however, I managed my first smutt approx 0.0005 inch long lol  and my first sole which gave me a bit of a battle trying to hold, wiggling about like mad lol.  Allan, Paul, Lee and myself stayed on for a few hours after the match but beside an eel(I think) for Lee (which saved him a blank) nothing else was caught.
