Its that time of year again!

Hi folks,
I'm taking SeaMouse down to Porlock Wier from Sunday for the annual Bristol Channel holiday. She'll hopefully be moored in the outer harbour and once the family have gotten wave-hopping and mackerel bashing out of their system, I'm hoping for a few 'proper' fishing sessions. If you happen to be around the harbour same time as us, say hello and I'll see if we can't manage a run out to the mackerel at the very least.

Steve

(at least the weather looks a little more settled, I've not fished now for best part of two months )

That's the plan! Looks like some sh**ty weather middle of next week but anything with north in it from Porlock and you can shelter under the cliffs. The Ivystone is only a ten minute slog down the coast even on a lumpy day and last time we had a couple of strap conger from there on the bream gear, which was good for a laugh. Plus I now have numbers for a wreck in 30m if we get the right conditions, have a proper go at the snakes

All I have to do now is concentrate on work for a week instead of daydreaming

Steve

Oh poo!

Hi folks,
That was a total disaster. Harbourmaster hadn't a berth free and the wind blew a 5 plus anyway, for 8 days solid. Not to mention the rain! End result, I towed SeaMouse 200 miles each way and never even got her in the water

Still, a good holiday in other respects. Soon as I get chance, I'm heading for the South Coast and some fishing therapy

Steve

Cool Re: Its that time of year again!

Hi Lookfar,

Sorry to hear about not getting out. The weather has been pants down there for a while. Our club has its 2nd trip out of Porlock on Saturday. We have had 4 others cancelled due to weather!

So your not alone mate!

It is nice now that I've left

You out on Lyn Marie? Local gossip was of poor fishing anyway but the last few dry, calm days might have settled things down a bit.

Re: Its that time of year again!

Yes we are out with Derek. Maybe catch a few "Porlock Salmon"......LSD's But I have heard of few Trigger fish being caught along with the odd Black Bream

Still it will be nice to get out and wet a line.

Cheers

Shaun
