another stupid sunday night, jacobs 1/7/7

well, baggie , myself and phill baggies brother in law headed off stupidly to jacobs last night
wind was a steady s/w but it was sunday(also baggies birthday) and we had a pass, also an early start so could get too pub after
well we should really have gone straight too pub
casting was difficult in wind to say the least, weed was awfull and more infuriating were the lasrge amounts of tree/big branches floating by 10-20 yrds out I lost 2 sets of gear


not unsurprisingly we caught diddly
but did make pub

roll on wed night at budliegh for the monthly comp, lets pray the weather improves

Not too much I can add really. It's just not happening at the moment. The wind and surf was savage again and after playing dodge the tree (Phil had a fairly long fight with one large bit of branch! ) we decided to head back to the pub and I experienced smoking outside for the first time. That's gonna take some getting used to!

Shame about the fishing, but a laugh none the less.

seems to be we get passes on naff days at moment (wed night always fishing whatever= usually rain /wind at moment)and when good tide and weather work or wives stop it

Know what you mean guys, i went last night fished from 5 till about half 10, i did'nt get so much as a sniff, my mate Paul had an eel, and a couple of bites on light gear very close in, not too much rubbish in the water tho, few bits of stringy weed, had a bit of a natter with another angler who told me he's had some nice small eyed ray down there recently, up to 7ish, but again, he had sod all last night. Still, had a load of bits at abbrook pond today, so at least i've remembered what fish look like!!
