| North Coast Sunday Hi boys, Just a quick one to let you know about a little jaunt with Mark (from the shop) on Sunday, after his success on tuesday with double figure smuts! We went up to Avalon gun show, so Mark could buy a gun, (don't annoy him now!) and then up to the channel for a few hours, first cast after a seventy or eighty mile yomp(ok ,about 10 minutes, just felt a lot further!) produced a strap eel for me  Quickly followed by one for Mark, which Max, my hound decided he would try to befriend.. Sadly not to be for poor Max, conger don't seem to be that friendly. Two more small eels followed to Mark, one of which was put into a pool on the reef, about eighteen inches deep, as the tide was on the flood and would soon cover the pool, at this point Max got in on the act again and decided to look for the errant eel then he tried to persuade it to come out again it got back into the pool, so he got it out again at which point he placed it on the rocks and barked at it. I then popped it back, none the worse for wear, and unmarked, Max has a soft mouth, and it swam away strongly, as did all the fish caught that day.I then hooked and subsquently lost a reasonable fish which i was sure was another eel, and Mark had an unseasonable bonus  Fished till 6 30ish then back for mcdonalds with a fishy smelling hound!And just a couple more photos for your perusal:-  Mark putting out a long one Waiting to be thrown straight into a bloody snag!Next time i'll just take a bucket of leads up and bung them in, and then go home, it'll be quicker!! __________________ Remember what the dormouse said, ......
