polperro and boat trip from looe

well i just got back from my long weekend in cornwall and had a great time plus got some fishing in.
my trip on friday out from looe was called off. so i oganised another trip for sunday.
on friday evening i went to polperro light house and fished underneath it on the rocks, i was armed with few lug , 30 rag and some mackerel, i had 1 wrasse and 2 dog fish. then saturday i finished up the bait and fished on the outer wall in the harbour and had loads of wrasse up to 2lb ish which was good fun on light spinning rod.
sunday came and the trip was on (the is a god)so we head out the harbour and started feathering some mackerel and sandeel, after we got enough bait we head out to the reefs and instantly start in to the conger then just before slack water i got the smallest ling ever born ,

as the tide turned i got another ling of about 6lb , afterthat the conger started to feed again and it was 1 after another. must of had 20+ conger upto 25lb, 2 ling and the normal vermin pout and dogs. one of the best catch on board was a very colourful cuckoo wrasse cought by 1 of the other fellas on board,
so great trip and well enjoyed bit of fun on mainly 12lb class gear
shame we had to come home but il be going back down there later in the year to give the blues a bash.
