Teign Estuary - This Friday

Hi

Im going to have a crack at the Teign Estuary this Friday, never been before so can anybody give me a few tips on what bait to fish and where to fish from. Ive found a few recomended spots on the interent but they dont really mean anything!

Specific areas to fish are Coombe Cellars, Gravel Point and Charlie’s Beach on the Shaldon side, with the Boatyard section, Flow Point and Red Rocks the most noted areas on the Teignmouth flank of the estuary.

I was also thinking about taking my fly rod and fishing some shrimps...

Avoid the teign!if i was you i would head for kingsbridge. This mark is better than the teign now.

Re: Teign Estuary - This Friday

I havent heard of any fish caught in the Teign for a long time, then again i dont think anyone has fished it with Kingsbridge producing so well.

It is worth a go but fishing is better elsewhere, and if you do fish the Teign i would head for the Lower Reaches, there has been so much rain water it is like chocolate higher up.

Good Luck anyway
