| As most will know the winds have been very strong and the tides quite high. The Enviroment Agency were on duty most of the week on the West Beach. The waves stopped short of breaking through by about four or five feet. The tide totally removed earlier water marks and left the beach clean. A bulldozer worked most of the week pushing the shingle back up the beach and more equipment arrived yesterday and today - friday. It was impossible to fish most of the week but I did notice a group of hardy souls trying to night fish on Sat/Sunday in what appeared gale force winds. Thursday saw a number of anglers giving it a go but they caught nothing. I caught one small Wrasse on the East beach with hardly any beach to stand on. At my age scrambling up the wall is hardly fun. It should be a lot better this week. |
