everything was right but no game

Went to Hurst castle last night got there about half five walked up the bank to see what its like and it looked perfect for cod on shore wind big old swells and to add to it heavy rain. Got set up and out the with lug and squid cocktail. But no bites what so ever. After trying every cocktail you can think five hours later my rod started to show a bit of action. Waited for a little bit and gave it a little tug to find that it was not on th ere. that was the only fun for the night being it was the right.

where exactly did you fish and what was the weed situation .?

It was not that hi mate it was only a 2.4 i think. When you walk over the bank you see some rocks there fish to the left there. 60 70Yards out and your in a gully. The weed was about for a little bit as the tide was on the way up but not loads. Why that Scottish.

Its alright its just when you said you fished the castle i thought you had walked all the way up . I know where you fished , not tried that bit but you would probably have been better off fishing milford on sea by the white houses car park .. weed is a pain all along there and the fishing is better on the ebb over smaller neap tides . other thing is that those huge swells mean tons more of the crap floating in the tide

gonna try get out this week somewhere - probably gonna fish one of the open beaches tho the tides are mahoosive this week but at a decent time
