| Southease tonight Bakerboy his Son and I met up at the above location, for a spot of Mullet fishing, but somebody forgot to invite the Mullet, anyway managed to dig some rag worm down the Adur river earlier on in the day, which pretty much gave us a blank evening until i struck into a very determined little, well actually it was totally tiny elver (eel) which really looked liked a slow worm you,d find at the bottom of your garden! So things started to look up and low and behold the rod bent double as another bite came .......ok Graham (Bakerboy), it wasn't quite doubled over, but it may have been an adult slow worm, probably its Mum wondering well the hell her baby slow worm had gone, unfortunately Mummy slow worm met her demise, as she was far too greedy and had gurped the hook way to far down, after several attempts at resuss , we said a few words (we are gathered here today, you get the drift). I said to Graham "really i should bury it with a little cross and that, no no...I didn,t say that at all, i said i should put a treble through its head and dead bait it to see what happens.... i didnt do, as the shock and horror on Grahams son's face said it all, I slipped her back into the water and apprx 5mins later a big splash took place and i thought...hmmm that was probably a big Bass chomping on that eel i just threw back! . Thanks Graham and Son, nice evening, must try somewhere else!LOL!![]() |

I'm sorry to have missed the smut meet, would have been good to catch up and learn new tricks....unfortunately work was abit too much Friday and it left me feeling rather weary. However, Friday night or Saturdays good for me, but i imagine its a night fishing sess that brings them in, Sundays a no no as the wife works a 12hr shift and i have youngsters to cater for. ![]() |
