brighton fishing

Let me know if this is not the right place to raise such question:

Just wondering if April will be good time to go fishing in brighton. What fish will we get mostly. and will it be good catch if we choose wreck fishing as it looks quite expensive. Thanks.

Re: brighton fishing

You'll find some excellent snippets (particularly on the Marina Arms) in a seasonal format at Rob's Blog ...

Get back to the index here -

As for wreck fishing - yes, it can be very productive.
Go early in the summer ... May/June before the wrecks get flogged to death. Personally I wouldn't pay more than £60 for a day, especially since many of the wrecks are within 20 miles. You also need to check carefully with the skip as to what gear to bring.
Sometimes worth getting a mag and phoning round the boats, as they often take individuals where there is space. Always ask for a firm max. price. Some are listed here -

Regards

Ada
