| I had a free pass for a few hours fishing at Hurst Point, having convinced the Mrs that I will be up and raring to go for a trip to the Country show at Romsey (Mid Day). I ventured of to Hurst Point in Hampshire for my first outing this year, at 4am, fairly confident on the advice of the local tackle shop that the black bream were starting to show. Set up two rods about 4.30am, with high tide at 5.40am, a few bites but nothing taking the line. Slight breeze, with a couple of light showers but overall weather conditions really good and no weed to contend with! Fished till just after 8.00, in hope of landing a bream, but to no avail! Never mind, weather was good and great to get out and also made the show to keep er in doors happy! Looking forward to Saturday when we head out of Key Haven on "Dulcie T" in search of some bass, skate and smoothies! Hopefully the wind will stay down so we can get out and catch some fish! |
