Sorry guys. Due to adverse weather conditions forecast for the weekend, namely a stiff SE then SW, promising coloured waters for the weekend, the squid competition is now moved to Sunday May 3rd. Final meeting times etc to be arranged. - Fishyrob

Yes it is postponed to the 3rd of May at Brighton Marina.
Nice catch Gremlin.....v similar (but different sp.) to our "Arrow Squid".
The size is from 100-400gms and they are nocturnal feeders,as they get bigger they lengthen but stay the same diameter.
We also get southern "Calamari Squid",these can grow to 5-6lb and can be quite a handful.
Most squid only live for one year and are voracious, feeding mostly by sight.

The clear water was the Pacific Island of Okinoerabu, Japan ... last Summer.

I knocked out a few of these on appropriate gear as well as the tasty squid!!!
