Just had a phone call - cancelled as it will be blown off. I checked the weather forecast and it will peak at noon with a wind speed of 27 knotts (force 6). I looked at Saturday and it gets worse 30 knotts (force 7).

Re: kent shore fishing

Hi all sorry for the late report, had a heavy duty weekend. we fished the deal coast between deal and warmer over the weekend.we fished from saturday night till sunday dusk. saturday we had a few in the local at deal and a few more, hit the shore at 08.,00pm high tide at 11.30 ish the wind and rain was looking bad out of the pub window,at 9.00pm the bar maid was begining to look more a stunner the longer we stayed. time to hit the beach . walked out the door no rain no wind clear sky wot happend ? get the gear out the van.
cut a long story short, set up .Lamps fould after 2hrs wont buy them again.Left with 2 headlamps. Pin whiting first ,about 20 over 4 rods in 1hr then as the tide turned down the first codling 2ld ish then the 2nd 3ld and a flurry of 2 to 3 pounders we had 8 codling 2 to 3.5oz then the dogfish ,18 dogfish till dawn ,slack tide .Nut down . Woke to a very different site ,clear blue sky no sea, well you would have to walk a few yards down hill . we called it a day cold but not wet this was one of the best nights i think we have had in the last 5 years. get your rods out lads the cod are back . lug and squid cocktall did the job. GOOD LUCK ALL.......CODMAD
