at the moment i'm mainly into boat fishing but would like to get back into shore fishing, i know that ben fishes on my old ground and look forward to meeting him down there soon

I fish the shore all round the Southampton area, just awaiting for the whiting to show at the moment at Calshot.

do you know if you get whiting and coddling as far up as warsash??
cause last year i had quite a good steady sup[ply of founders but nothing else

Dunno about the cod but you should get the whiting there on rag or lug tipped with Squid on a two/three hook flapper at night.

I have heard reports of em showing at Lee on Solent so far, so they shouldnt be long mate.

good good, just making my self a nice 3 hook boom rig which should be perfect, are beads worth putting on?

any1 had any flounders yet around here?? i aint had 1 yet this year

No i avnt had any, fished Hythe last week a known flounder spot and ended up with nine bass.
Ben for the whiting rig i would not use beads just a sequin as a bait stop.
I only use floating beads when the crabs are in force but they will start to die down a bit now hopefully.
