rodney bay 5/1/7 the report

well after getting fresher bait than baggies frozen ragworm picked up a mate and headed off to rodney bay at 7.30 (HT 8.15)
interesting trip arround walkway to rock platforms as just before high tide wave dodging arround headland(mate not so skilled and got lower legs and feet soaked

)
set up on the small area left(this is biggest tide fished here and wouldnt try a higher one)
set out 1 rod 2 hooks size 2/0 with squid and rag looking for bass and other 3 hook flapper size 2 and 4 looking for the elusive to me flounder

first knock was good old doggie

baggie then appeared and whilst setting up I got 2 more doggies to quite a good size as well

we were now at top tide

next fish was a 3 beard rocking to me

then a while later (after moving a bit as tide dropping now) whilst i was sorting out a snagged rig mate shouts that i have fish on other rod and oh yes more points as this nice schoolie bass came in

poor baggie still was failing to catch but had made a new friend in this Guillimot(which he really wanted to be a penguin

)

but his perseverance paid off and he at last caught a flounder

and then i had this tiny whiting before packing up at 11.30

left baggie drowning the last of the worm in search of another bass

not fastest session ever but a real good start to the 2007 hunt 6 points in 1 session cant be bad
