Yarmouth pier (IOW) 16/11/06

Fished yarmouth pier Thursday. Fishing was pretty bad considering the recent blows. I ended up with 3 pout , but a guy up there had a half decent pollack and a decent red gurnard!!
We were all fishing with squid at range, although i did try a few fruitless attempts just over the railings
The highlight of my night was reeling in someones old rig complete with grip lead, so that tells you how bad things were. Oh, and watching all the boats entering the harbour from the last day of the cod comp was pretty cool....some lovely BIG catamarans!
Back out tomorrow i suppose.....But NOT yarmouth bloody pier!:

Re: Yarmouth pier (IOW) 16/11/06

3 pout better than nothing mate and atleast you were able to see a couple of nice fish landed even if they weren't on your rods.

Good luck if you get out today/tomorrow
