Eastney Report 55

Another silly'o'clock dawn fish - 0300 - 0900 today - St Georges Road.
Calm, slight Easterly winds, touch of moonlight (que for a song !)
Caught :
Bass - one to about 2lb - on baby squid close in on a size 1 circle hook.
Bream - all small - all on ragworm
Corkwing Wrasse - ragworm (at daylight)
Ballan Wrasse (I think - I hope new speices if it is - photo below)

Plus - 2 joggers, one dog with lead, half of Southsea rowing club & a man on a bike on the shingle - I kid you not .... why do they say "sorry mate - didnt see you" despite being the only person on the beach from either end of the horizon ... doesn't it dawn on them - man on beach with 2 fishing rods - means fishing line in water ... nimno's
