thursday31st. well i got some sleep anyway

hi guys, the saga starts on wednesday evening about 6pm when i got called by my boss .

' gord, could you cover a shift in gosport for me instead of yer usual wed' shift ?'

< checks tide tables > ............'yep' ( packed bait digging gear)

finnished work./ dug some rag,/raided tackle shop. / brekie in romsey and home to bed.

the plan waas;- fish adalaide for triggers after noon - evening.

got there about 20.20 after wakeing late, with just about an hour of daylight left i gaveup on the idea of triggers and fished near the masonic carpark.

weather;- dry/overcast.

tide;- h/w midnight, middleing tide heading down for neaps.

bait;- rag/ froze lug/1/2 froze macky/ sandeel.

rigs;- up n over, / pulley, / 2 ook flapper.
hooks size 2 -3/0

sea state;- surpriseingly flat given forcast ,

not much doing till dusk when i caught a little huss about 12-14 ins, tried to get a piccy but camera screwed up and had no more film .

which was followed by a couple of lsd's the biggest of which came in with 2 sets of feathers entangled, it felt like summat good till i saw what all the weight was,

another doggie and a huss by midnight then it went quiet ( fell asleep)
woke at about 6am rebaited and thought about moving on to the wreck. fell asleep again shortly after.

woke at 8am , used the recovered feathers to catch 9-10 mackerell .
packed away my gear and sat down fer a fag b4 the stomp back up the bank.
it was quite pleasent sat there in the sun

and;- you've guessed it , fell asleep again .

woke and left the beach at 9am , couldn't face the stomp back over the shingle for the adalaide, so left for home ariveing about midday after getting stuck in traffic for the steam fair at blanford.

Great report there mate, but jees, how comfortable is your beach buddy exactly? Are you sure you haven't got a Swedish masseuse tucked away in the back there, giving back rubs between casts....

Come to think of it, you spent alot of time in your bivy the other night....

Cheers,

Rich.

Well done mate. I still have nightmares about climbing up that shingle bank from when fished there last time.
