Fishing Thursday . . . but it's a bit blowy

Does anybody know a mark that provides cover from a strong south-westerly, I'm fishing Thursday come hell or high water (no pun intended) but currently can only really think of Shell Bay.

Any suggestion (other than Town Quay, cuckoo!) will be gratefully accepted and I promise not to blame when I blank!

Re: Fishing Thursday . . . but it's a bit blowy

Well tony ,
a great sheltered spot is hythe marina !!!!!!
or cracknore hard (marchwood) a mile away from mag lane ,
but a completely different fishing venue ,shallow water big baits for big bass ,
fish baits for doggies and smuts ,
and carp gear for mullet (loads of them ),
as soon as you reach this venue park to the left ,
look out and you will see a wreck 40 yrds out ,
cast a float out baited with bread or maddies ,
and wait and see,
there are some big mullet here ,just across the water from soton docks,
good luck mate !!!!!

cheers lee.

Re: Fishing Thursday . . . but it's a bit blowy

Yeah, that should be your middle name Paul "it's a bit of a walk, Bolts"

Looking like i might be fishing Hurst Castle tomorrow as the wind's dropping away and the rain is staying up north, promise to phone you non-stop all day gloating about the endless run of fish that I'm due - that should put the curse on things - are you sure you can't feel a headache coming on, it's not to late to throw a sickie and come out to play!
