| Had a session along the cliffs today with my buddy Dave,Fished 12.00-17.00,HW 13.50,sunny bit of wind off the land & hardly any weed.Used rag, lug, peeler & macky baits, nobody else about apart from the usual dog walkers! Set up gear about 600yds past the huts. Plenty of bites at approx 120yds range on worm, but nothing to show until i changed down to bomber rig size 2 hooks, first chuck produced double shot of bream 5 inches long. This was the tale for the rest of the day, loads of bites & small bream ,plus 1 -1lb bass last cast. We tried peeler & macky baits at various distances 20-100yds not a sniff, both coming back untouched ,everything taking worm!. Enjoyable time and stopped my run of blanking ,heading down Eastney during the week still trying for that elusive 5lb + bass. |
