soledover is on a distinguished road
Thumbs down Hillhead, Friday 25th August.

Fished the wall last night, with the aim of wetting the line. And that's the way the evening, into the small hours, proved to unfold.
From the back of the car, and with 1/2 dozen more for company, fished Ragworm, Sandeel/Squid/Mackerel combo's, without a sniff.
Conditions seemed acceptable..... 4.4m tide; some colour in the water;newish moon;good cloud cover, stiff breeze blowing into shore with some drizzle. At least I thought so!
The fish thought otherwise!
However, the baits were being stripped clean inside 10 minutes, which didn't help... no snood damage on my Loop rigs, so I guess shore crab activity.
Bit of weed around, but nothing unmanagable.
A not unpleasant evening....
I'll probably concentrate on digging for the next 3-4 weeks, in readiness for shedloads of Autumn- Sole, Codling, etc!?
Tightlines!
