Re: Soton marks??

Town quay? Is that near red funnel terminal?.Dont know many places in soton, only poingdestres where i get my gear from!!. Where do u fish there & parking?. Seen cuckoo s reports from there, looks good. Might have to try sometime, usually stick to regular haunts e.g. Eastney,Gilkicker,Hillhead etc. Where in the area is good for Sole?, want to get 1 over 1 1/2lb this year,Mag lane?...........cheers lads..Andy............

Re: Soton marks??

Hi andy,
parking at town quay is not FREE and clamping is rife , (sorry dan)
you can fish to the right of the quay only all the way up the railings,
you can park where you fish ,and if you see the wardens, just give them the wink , lol,
and let them know your fishing you will have no problems at all,
i went a few weeks ago pulled on to the quay ,and the parking warden said sorry mate all parking full, then spotted my rods and said oh youre fishing ,
park over there mate in the no parking zone great right were i was fishing ,
great bunch of guys !!!!!!,
as for sole mate town quay , mag lane ,deep water section at mayflower park, although a lot of small ones are about there are also bigguns ,
4 weeks ago my cuz caught a 2 1/2 lb sole at town quay !!!!!!!

cheers lee.
