think you have to have steaks and with prety much al conger you wil get too much aswel unless lots of people are eating it

Aye Steve, they are pretty muckle beasties. But fish is so expensive, so if there's room in the freezer why waste money on trawler caught fish?

I was on a boat a couple of weeks ago and one of the guys kept all the doggy's. He skinned them on the boat in between marks and planned to cook them that night, reckons they are top nosh! I've always thrown the doggy's back but I might keep 1 or 2 next time to try em.

They flog doggies as rock salmon in restaurants I think, makes it sound much more appetising. Problem is they're always so skinny!

also doggies are better if keep for a day as gets rid of some of the ammonia in them
otherwise ok eating.
