So, did anyone catch at the weekend???

As I've said elsewhere my weekend was a disaster although I did get 18 crabs in an hour at Dartmouth with squid and crab lines if that counts (even got a huge edible that would have been good for a restaurant but it dropped off under its own weight!) but bumped into someone coming back off a boat trip who'd had 14 pollack to 18lb although I'm not sure if he meant just him or the boat as a whole. Anyone else have a good time?

Re: So, did anyone catch at the weekend???

I followed in Ben's footsteps with a nice starry smut from the shore in a comp on Saturday night at Hengistbury Head (Christchurch). It was one of only a handful of fish caught on the night and hilariously won me the match, pout and gurnard being the only other fish caught. Just as I was packing up I had a real rod bending bite but missed it as I was packing a shelter away at the time

Re: So, did anyone catch at the weekend???

got out last night should have been good nothing but 2 tiny pollock and smallest mackie of the year
heaviest catch was a HUGE spider crab(what are they doing this year trying to take over the beaches by storm tactics)never seen/caught so many
and one enormous birdsnest, still not sorted out using multiplier into the dark !!!!!
