Smile My first Smutt

Went out to me secret little smutt mark yesterday on the solent.
And what a day we had 13 SmoothHounds between us. My first ever dont, they half run when they pick that bait up.
Picked a later tide than the other two trips and it certainly paid off.
All were caught on ragworm on a size 2 hook pulley rig.
Also lost a couple and some were caught during daylight wich was cool.
Definatly going back soon i wanna try and get one over 10 lb.
A couple of guys a bit further up also had about 12 or so.
Dont know how much this one weighs but i would guestimate about 7-8lb

Re: My first Smutt

Congratulations. Nice fish, does anyone know if there are any around South Devon at the moment? I fancy a challenge at the weekend so something that'll fight a bit. Taking my fly rod to try to chase the bass which'll be a laugh.
