budliegh last night 13/6

well got thrown a curveball in that missus decided not to go out last night and told me i could go fish, just as mate txt me to ask what i was up too and should he get some bait , so answered in the affirmative
on leaving house met baggie and hacked him off by telling him was fishing(dont think he will be out for a while yet , He looks knackered)
picked mate up at 6.45 and got to budliegh 7 (HT 8.30)and it was rammed, must have been at least 100 people tinsel flinging, almost had too queue up for a gap, but there was 1 big enough for us

saw a couple makkie caught and thought game on, i was after a flatty so lobbed out 2 bottom rods as far as i could(to feed the crabs, which werent too evident as only lost 1 snood, but really hacks off the tinsellers) and set up float rod to look for a gar as well

mate was using bright silver tinsels too no effect but we changed to some flouresent ones and bang first chuck he was in
then he started bagging up, we could see the others on the beach wondering what he was douing or they were doing wrong, then 9.30 came round and as usual beach cleared almost completly, then the makkie really came in, also a nice takeable pollock , float rod was getting action from makke as well,

as soon as dusk fell bottom rods getting pout on worm baits, also cunningly missed a good bte on whole makkie side,

packed up 11.30 a nice eve as ended with beach and fish to ourselves, bait freezer refilled, and even paid milkman in makkie (ilove bartering)]
