| Town Quay 10/06/06 Hi all im fishing town quay saturday night,theres some great reports of big fish  being caught there at the moment,and a friend caught a 14 1/2 lb bull huss and a 12lb smut there last week in the same session, baits will be peeler (frozen), rag, squid, clam, and (cuttlefish heard a whisper ),hopefully ill stay awake for the early morning mullet got to get me a first of the year !!!!!!!! cheers lee.    |

| Re: Town Quay 10/06/06 Hi all, well town quay last night was fantastic, not for fishing maybe, but for getting out on a blinding calm warm night. Well arrived @ 7.30 couldnt get the top spot, cause it was filled with anglers all casting over each other, like sardines in a tin ABSOLUTELLY STUPID.!!!!!! So we fished quater of the way down the quay, bites all night from pout and whiting then the odd big smut hit !. Armed with squid, rag, peeler (frozen), mackeral and cuttlefish we set about getting the big one no such luck but a fantastic night anyway .I got me 2 small smutts, 1 decent dog, http://www.seafishingonline.com/copp...0149/doggy.jpgand several pout and whiting. The cutlefish drew a blank but hey thats fishing cheers lee.!!!!!!! |

| Re: Town Quay 10/06/06 I'm fishing tomorrow night, if i'm on my own I'm fishing town quay - am gonna get there early and get a spot cos it just goes stupid with everyone convinced that all the fish only exist in one tiny channel! - If i can talk PlanktonBoy into coming out to play then I'm going back to Warsash, cos there's plenty of space and some cracking Smoothies coming out of there, I saw a 13 pounder on Sat night, and had a couple of cracking runs, which resulted in a snapped up rig body - note to self don't tighten the crimps too much, doh! Personally I'm gonna give town quay a wide berth if i can for the reasons you mentioned. |
