conger catch report

day 1

started off bad coz we couldnt catch the bait well i had a few macky but not enough

but the conger was good (i just nikd everyone elses bait :wink: )

ended up with 3 but al smal (around 20) and lost a few

my team is winning :) but stil got 2moro to go yet so i havnt won yet

day 2

started off well coz we caught plenty of bait so i didnt need to take the bait i took which was a bit annoyin but o wel

when we started congerin i had the 1st which was 31lb when we got in and then it wasnt very good

there was only about 7 eels caught all together but i managed 2
that 31 and another about 20

came 2nd overal and my team won

won a brand new net and got given a rod by my team matecheers

sounds like you done your team proud there! shame the pic dont fit and at least you got a new rod out of it to! glad you had a good comp and came second

well done mate :) id love to catch a 31lb conger iv only seen 1 b4 on a trip that was cought by the skipper it weighed about 40lb scary looking lol i wouldnt like to be unhookin that !

i had to pick it up while it was stil alive aswel lol

i was usin the rod that day and the bloke said do u like that rod n i said ye so he gave it to me

Did you keep your conger then ? Ive heard they are pretty good to eat but hwen I caught one two weeks ago it just seemed wrong and a waste to kill such a decent eel - 30LB seems huge to me !!

I aint saying its wrong or right Im just interseted in knowing if people keep them or not

ye it was kept because it had to be weighed for the comp

someone took it to eat so it was not wasted
