well i,m back from beach now, wierd sea was dead calm and not a hint of wind but i'd brought the bait so went for it. lots of pouting on every bait and rig but nothing else
but kept rods jiggling so good fun anyway

did you actually land the fish??

cos i'd say if it was gonna be your pb you'd have to land it, not trying to take anything away obviously!!

well that all depends what you mean by landed
i had the fish in my hand and was lifting it up when it attacked me n escaped
i recon haveing the fish in you hand counts as landed and it was also on the land as well, i managed to beach it in the surf, there wasnt enough water for it to swim unless a big wave came, which it did

yeah, or weigh it properly, just have to go with what the other person there said, i aint any gd as estimating weight of things, if i estimated it it would have been a 15lb smoothhound rather than 8lb:P
