| Police Athletics Association, (PAA Submitted on behalve of Malcolm www.TrueBlue-Poole.com On Wednesday 26th May 2004 the Police Athletics Association, (PAA), Regional Angling Competition was held out of Poole, Dorset aboard 'True Blue' and 'True Blue II'. In teams of four representing Dorset, Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset, and Gloucestershire, eight anglers per boat fished on a points per fish basis. In the morning Anglers on both boats caught a variety of Bream, Gurnard, Dogfish, Smoothound and Rays. In the afternoon both boats moved offshore and in a hectic two and a half hour session the sixteen competitors caught almost 100 good sized Tope evenly between both boats. All the fish were released on the surface or quickly photographed and then released.Best Tope of the day was recorded at 40lb. ![]() The Skippers, Steve Porter from 'True Blue II' and Malcolm Collins from 'True Blue', attended the presentation, at the Marina Club in West Quay Road, Poole, for a Chicken and Chips supper with the sixteen competitors. The winning Dorset Police Team will now go through to the National Finals.
