fishing in torbay

hello fellow anglers

fished one of my favourite local spots last night for conger eels after i finished work, got down to our spot around 5.30 pm, promptly set up 2 rods each (i was fishing with my little bro) and set about chucking our whole makerel baits out as far as we could cast 6oz of lead, whole 8-10 oz mackerel and 50 lb mainline!! ( NOT FAR LOL )

nothing for the first hour, then a small rattle on my left hand rod, cut a long story short, it turned out to be a edible crab! the only 'fish' we caught were 2 small doggies. not enjoyable fishing in all that rain and wind!

has anyone else been fishing this week? with any sort of results?

Top marks for effort guys. Don,t envy you in that weather though. Better a doggie than nothing (I think ) Was the crab tasty?
