Hi

Going to the isle of wight - 17th April staying at shanklin.- needs some info on where to fish ie species and marks - also is it worth me taking my spinning gear.

ride peir can be a goody! plenty of bass knocking around the struts, good for a sinking diving rappala! (get down the end on the old landing stage)
lots of doggys on macky and king rag, great for mullet in the summer!
id say hit the bass! big baits dropped straight down with a macky head or peeler and fanny about with a lure! loads of great marks around the isle but just found my self on the peir (gar seem to be knocking around all the way march to late august! if you fancy a float, and small pollock will have a pop too!
lived ther a year a couple of years ago so nothing is deffenate get down the tackle shop ther more than happy to get you on the fish!
and the locals info is priceless, so dont let pride get in the way of
asking!
