 Weston Shore Wednesday. Decided to give Weston Shore Southampton a go this Wednesday & try for some flatties. Anybody wants to join me, feel free. Be warned though, i've blanked the last two times out!!!  __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...     |

 Re: Weston Shore Wednesday. Went to Weston shore as planned with my fishing mate Pete, picked up some nice rag from Poingdestres (just how do you pronounce that?) & arrived at Weston about 11.30 am. Beautiful spot with trees down to the shoreline & nice view of Southampton water. The conditions looked perfect & the water was flat calm. We had been advised to fish off the point, but arrived to find two fishermen already there. So we decided to fish between the point & the carpark. Expectations were high as the lad in the tackle shop told us he & two friends had caught 12 flounder & a 7lb Bass the evening before. We saw the two guys on the point starting to catch, so I walked over to see what they were doing. Same rigs & bait as us. Nothing wrong there then!!! Went back to my rods, still nothing  . Took a walk over to see how Pete was doing. "Nothing" Turned around to look back at my rods "Good god a bite" after two blank trips i'd forgotton what one looked like. Yahoo a nice fat flounder. Fished through until dark & finished with 3 good fish. Thats supper tonight sorted. The guys on the point caught 9 between them. I really felt for Pete though as he's a total novice & blanked again even though he was doing nothing wrong. Whatever happened to beginners luck, poor blokes getting quite despondent. Nice venue though & looking forward to going back.  Oh yes I had a pint or three on the way home to celebrate.
