catch report : please dont scream at this ..

today . i went fishing down town quay , i was using some sand eels and then , my rod almost fell in the water , i started to reel it in , and it was realy heavy ( it was about to snap my rod ) then when i looked at it . it looked like a crab . when i got closer to it .. ( i screamed my head off! ) as soon as my mum saw it . she was screaming her head off .. and please dont scream ....



i have got another photo of it .. that is realy freaky . so i will send you that soon ..

Spider crab mate.
During the summer it can get infested with them down here.
Whilst diving ive pulled ones up as big as dustbin lids,they nearly walk off with you
Legs and claws are good to eat though

my mate works on the boats and they pull them throught the trawlers and he gets quite a few that r peeling or have already peeled and r soft like i say u cant beat it when the fish r being chossy

saw four spiders brought in on town quay on Saturday, there still about in numbers, still, was better landing one of them than a ton of seaweed which is what i thought i was bringing in!

Meant to ask, how did Sandeel work at Town Quay, I had quite a good day using only Rag, had some sandeel but the bloke next to me reckoned they weren't worth using down there? been interested to know if you had any luck with em.
