Portsmouth harbour flattie bashing.

Well since the coast in my parts has seen the fish go on holiday for the winter i thought i d go flattie bashing in the harbour.
You cant go wrong with flounders, the harbours around pompey are full of them.WRONG!
Two small rattles all morning resulting in no fish meant i had my first blank of the year, now the weathers blown up i really should have given the beach a bash .
Still my black lab had a great time and i saw a stoat catch a mouse.great!
And the mighty tigers won so its not all bad

Re: Portsmouth harbour flattie bashing.

my trip down the beach was abit of a distaster as well, got down there just as it was getting dark, started pissing it down
sent out the 1st bait no more thna 15yrds, fishing low tide into a channel
current was too strong for a 5oz grip lead
2nd cast with a 7oz grip lead, big birdie (braid and casting dont mix)
there goes my only big lead, better pack up
rod got stuck together
used 4 worms outa £5 worth, out tomorrow after flatties i think
