Eastney lastnight

Fished eastney for a few hours over high water lastnight and its pretty clear that winter is now with us on the south coast as the fishing has slowed right up,or it was a poor tide
No bites at all for the first couple of casts then a small tap which ended up being a rockling ,next cast produced a small bass and that was as good as it got.
I put one rod in very close with whole sguid and slipper limpet and did miss a very good bass bite but had nothing else.
My new rod has still to catch a fish,i m thinking of taking it back to the shop this morning for a refund
I think from now on flounders in the harbour may be the order of the day, roll on spring and those hard fighting smuts

Know just how you feel mate, most of my recent sessions have been like that. On the bright side "things can only get better!"
