my 1st wrasse

got a quick hr session in off a pontoon in warsash earlier after a recomendation by trigerfish
managed to get my 1st wrasse

came out with about half a dozen wrasse upto about 3/4lb and afew baby pollack
an enjoyable session, could have some fun there with light gear

i was impressed with the fight the bigger 1 gave me
i was using a zziplex 2500 tip with a spcial short butt for bass fishing
and a abu 6500 c3 loaded with 12lb line

Well done on the wrasse and your right on the old wrasse on light gear are tons of fun

Nice one Ben,try fishing close in for big Ballens on carp gear, its unbeatable fun. Pound for pound Big wrasse are one of the hardest fighting fish on light gear........

i was just droping the bait over the side of the pontoon, effectivly downtiding like on boats

hi ben .. i saw you down the phontoon . i saw you catch it , i didnt know it was you .. i saw the pollack , i thaught it was a whiting .. i had a ballen wrasse today . a big one as well . nice fish !
