last night....

well the fine weather got hold of me yesterday and i decided to venture down the pier with my light rod real gar rig and some strip to see what hapend!

as soon as i got down there about 7:30 the water gave me the thought that im in for good evenings fishing! first cast....tap tap tap rattle rattle rattle....missed it grrrr lol definate bream bite as they followed on for the next hour or so and i managed to hook one once i changed my hooks to a smaller size but it came off! lol never mind it was only a small one! also in between these bream bites i was getting a few gar runs...never landed one but hooked a few and to be honest im glad they came off cause i would of been stinking for ages...lol

anyway must of been about 8:45 when the makerel started to show and did they show lol was none stop bites and fish for about 20 mins and i lost count of em it was so hectic! they all went back safely apart from one which i needed for bait as i had gone through most of mine by now! and to add to all them macks being there just before it got dark some scad started to show!! had about another 30 mins or so more fishing and ended up with about 10 or so of them so all in all.....with my light gear and lots of fish had a prety good evening

not sure when i next going but the weekends looking good for a bash at a mullet or two

cheers

Ollie.
