| Going to the Island for a week in September. Particularly interested in Bass on the plug and mullet.Like light rods and lines and casting close in. Will be staying at Gurnard Pines with family so fishing is going to have to fit in. Remember plugging a small bass from Thorness a couple of years ago so if anyone knows any great spots for up close action that'd be great. Will probably be going to Colwell bay for a sand bucket and paddle session, is it worth a cast near the rocks to the left? Know the island quite well but not he fishing so any tips would be greatly received. Cheers. |

| Re: Isle of Wight Mid Sep Thanks Devondave, I'd love to smuggle you in but my three year old has red hair and a huge mouth and would give the game away. I agree with you though, I lived there when I was a kid and have extremely fond memories. Took me years to go back but now I'm a gold card holder on the ferry as I can't go back often enough. Who knows I may move back, but it won't be to Argyle Road now methinks. Tight lines. |
