| The Night after Pagham Still bussing after a good nights fishing with lads and having loads of bait that Bill gave me I decided to go out again Friday Night. What a disaster. Went to local beach to find it very windy and weedy at 8pm. Didn't even rig up. Decided to go to Selsey as it can be sheltered when the wind is SW. Rigged up the small rod three hook flapper close in to see if bream were about. 15 seconds later the rods bent double and the weight is moving like a train. Dragged the load of weed in. It then took 10 minutes to get off the line and rig. To cut a long infuriating story short, I tried chucking a big bait out as far as I could to try to get above and over the weed but it just grabbed the weight and trace and dragged it to a groin and snagged me so I had to pull for a break. It was just getting dark so I retied everything and tried again but not so far out and it happened again I could see it moving and I wound like a mad thing but it still ended up on the same bloody groin so I lost the lot again. Cos it was dark now I thought I would just stick with the small rod closer in just in case, and any way I didn't have the heart to re rig the big rod. Two minutes later the rod beds over nicely but it just feels heavy no fight thought it was weed, it turned out to be a fupping Tesco carrier bag. That was the last straw I nearly chucked the rods in the sea at that point but I calmed down calmed down. So I have still got some bait left can't face it tonight but I think I will be out tomorrow who knows it might be Pagham again. | Re: The Night after Pagham Rob Just mowed the lawn, done the washing up, dried and put away, walked the dog, played with the kids and kissed the wife.
