| Thought that I should tell you all about a pure magic hour fishing on the Fleet along side Chesil Beach. My fishing buddy Portland Jon called me and said I know its short notice but how about a couple of hours fishing this afternoon if you can make it. This was about 1pm already. A lovely day with real sunshine so who could say no. We decieded to fish the Fleet to see if the reports of Bass arriving was true or one of those porkies, that all that do this sport tell from time to time. We decided to fish light and took Carp rods with six pound line. The action started almost stright away with the first going to Jon about two lbs. We could see them jumping all around us, within five or ten minutes the jammy so & so caught another. By this time I was begining to have a moment of,is it me or should I take up knitting or a less stressful sport. We decided to move along the Fleet and try our luck in another spot, my turn now, not a big fish about one to one and a half lbs but on the light line its almost better than a free pint. The action from start to finish lasted about one hour and then although we continued you could sense that the moment was passed.
