quiet night last night

me n bill went out last night, the plan was to hit our top secret smoothy mark but when we got there weed was a problem so we headed along to warsash where i had been fishing during the day and had caught smoothys
its was all very quiet all night really, bill got the 1st fish, a pout caught on rag
i then missed a very good bite on a big squid bait, very anoying, felt like a brick wall when i struck into it but the hook didnt take
then i got 3 pout towards the end of the night all on rag (much bigger than his )
then i got a good little knock and was in, i didnt think it was to big but it turned out to be a 2lb bass, well chuffed!

personaly i think bill broke my scales the other day with his smoothy and my bass weighed more than that very happy!
we decided to pack up after about another hour, bill had 1 more fish on his last cast, an eel which did a very good job at sliming up my coat for me, thanks bill
final score was 4 pout, 1 bass and 1 eel between us
could have been worse but would have liked it to be better
very happy with the bass though, having that for tea tonight
