poole harbour 20/01/12

Decided on another session in poole harbour for the sh$t slurpers with rob , so armed with 100 of als best worm we set off at 3pm to beat the traffic and the crowds we expected down there , arrived and was fishing by 4.30 pm h/w not expected until 7.30 , chose our mark and set up me with 3 hook flappers on both rods , both bottom baits with pop ups and top hook totally free of bling ! , 3-4 worm on each hook and no more than a 30-40 yard lob , bit of a blow going on down there and by god the wind chill factor was bloody cold ! crabs were non exsistent allowing baits to be left out for as long as we could stand without the rebaiting process , it was a while as we expected before the first hit came over high water and rob was in with a cracking conditioned bass around the 1lb mark , then me with a typical flounder rattle and in came the first of the night and also a pb for me , weighed in at 3 lb 5 ozs "happy days"

not long after came my second and if it wasnt for the first would also have been a pb for me lol ! ..................

weighed in at 2lb 5ozs

things went quiet for a while with the odd flounder rattle being missed and then came my third ........

around the 2lb mark , over the moon with a night on the poole flounder again , cracking little mark things died off and we called it a night around 2 am with us both in the brown stuff as we were supposed to be home around 11 pm

only heard of 2 other flounders caught around us so all in all it turned out great !

p.s all flounder were once again released as its only the sport were after !
