Re: Flattie marks around Pompy

Not 100% sure...
But think the other side (west, opposite of Eastney) of South Parade 'may' throw something up.
There's a lot more sand* out there, unlike Eastney which just has patches.

*Semi educated guess as to where to find them.
Guessed due to the way they are/feed/hide etc...
Semi educated due to a fond childhood memory of actually chasing one through a couple of inch deep water at low tide once.

Only ever caught one flattie at Eastney, although that was a lot closer to SPP than the RM Museum, but I've only been back fishing since Autumn last year.

*MAY* be doing a Rod and Reccy trip to SPP later on today, have 'long' planned to hit the sandy west side for poss flatties.
If I go and get round to finally posting another report, I'll make sure it's included.

Re: Flattie marks around Pompy

Without sounding miserable i wouldn't bother fishing for them around Pompey, it must be 8 years now since any decent catches where made in the harbours.

Yeah sounds like a good idea, where in p,oole harbor do you fish, I have fished from the weird bit of ruined concrete peir thing and sandbanks behind the hotel.
