Eastney 14/1/12

Quick report today:
Fished Eastney beach opposite the Royal Marines Museum from about 11.30 until 5.15, no fish but a missed take early... as far as I know no one caught anything. Very cold but not a bad day. At least I wasn't at work!

Re: Eastney 14/1/12

Sorry to hear of the poor showing of Eastney.
Were you solo, or was there a few peeps in your party so to speak.

I pitched up that way (very much later than I intended), saw a few peeps up the beach but was unsure due to excess numbers.

Was a very quiet day indeed, had almost settled for just catching a few nice pictures on my phone, but after a kind donation of Rag, I ended up staying on a little longer seeing as I had my head torch in my 'Fishing Jacket' which meant I managed to bag a few fish finger whiting as the light faded.
Think I going to give up days for a bit (unless it's 'warm'), seeing as I got 3x as many fish in the same spot the other night.
Even probably missed a few more due to feeling sorry for mate who was not getting any where near as much luck.

Hope to include at least 1 of my 'view' pictures in what is looking to be a huge "Christmas to Current" mega report.

Chatting to a fella who had just packed up from his first ever sea trip on the way back, seems he also managed a whiting that was going home for tea.
It wasn't going to need many chips though...

Roll on the summer!
September was not really the best time to re-catch the fishing bug.
Also I miss cursing those pesky little Bream!
Not to mention beach side BBQ Mackerel!
